Detailed Procedure
Eight different candles were burned there were three of each color. White, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink. Light each candle right after an other. Then just wait and occasionally look at the candles to make sure that no candle have gone out. Make sure that when a candle goes out record the time that it goes out. Keep repeating those steps untill all the candles are all out.

Results
The data shows that the green candle will burn the fastest then the white candle. The prediction was that the white candle would burn the fastest. All the candle of the same color burnt out at around the same time.
Conclusion
At the end of the experiment the green candles ended up burning the fastest. The white burnt the second longest. The white candle was thought that it would burn the fastest.
Discussion
The data showed a pattern most of the time. Usually all three candles of each color would go out around the same time. The relationship between the independent and dependent variables is strong because all the candles burned around the same time except for one candle. The question does candle color effect burning time? was proven that the color does effect the burning time. The green candles burnt out first the it took one green candle to burn out 330 mins. the second candle took 343 mins and the third green candle took 357 mins. The white candles burnt out next the first white candle took 358 mins. the second white candle took 400 mins and the third white candle took 403 mins. The next candle was the red the first red candle burnt out in 430 mins the second red candle took 700 mins and the third red candle took 683. The next candle to burn out was the yellow candle the first yellow candle to burn out took 437 mins the second yellow candle took 452 mins and the third yellow candle took 700 mins to burn out. The next one candle to burn out was the pink the first pink took 684 mins to burn out the second pink candle took 648 mins burn burn out and the third pink candle took 676 mins. The next candle to burn out was the orange the first orange burnt out in 659 mins the second orange candle took 993 mins to burn and the third orange candle burnt out in 645 mins. The next candle to burn out was the blue the first blue took 652 mins the second blue candle took 584 mins to burn out the third blue candle took 475 mins. The last candle that burnt out was the purple candles. It took the first blue candle 456 mins to burn out the second purple candle took 383 mins and the final purple candle took 383 mins to burn.
Benefit to Community and/or Science
The benefit to the community is that people would know what candle to buy and from what store to buy them from so that they would last the longest.
Background Research
Candles come in all different sizes and colors. Would you ever think that candle color would effect burning tame? well it does, people can just buy different candle and burn them and see for themselves. You don't wanna have to spend a lot of money on candles but you don't want to get the cheapest ones because then they might have less wax in them and they won't burn as long. Just like if someone buys a pair of shoes from Walmart they have less quality the is you buy a pair from NIKE or another name brand shoe store.Candles can effect of a lot of things more than people know. Candles are good for more things than one. Candles help give you light and they also give off a good sent.

Abstract
You would never think that the candle color would effect the burning time. This project was chosen because it could be a good thing to know what candle to pick if you want it to burn the slowest. Say the powers goes out and you need light for a long period of time and you don't have a flash light you can use candles to give off light. You are going to want to know which candle would burn the longest. You would want the candle that costs the least but burns the longest. Yes, candle color does effect the burning time.
